Project with existing condition confronting the needs of a modern young couple. There demands were open plan, spacious rooms, abundance of daylight and a view of their yard. So, intervention was a redesign of the existing medium size, two-story old family house built in a traditional style. Large number of separate rooms, dividing walls and small windows resulting in insufficient amount of daylight set the perimeters for the concept idea.
In cooperation with structural engineers, layout and some nonconstructive elements went through modification in order to connect space and functions to the new needs. In the basement area are rooms for home economics and entertainment, while the level of the ground floor, with living / dining area connects with study room on first floor trough ceiling opening. Bedrooms and kid’s rooms are located in quiet area of upper floors and attic with magnificent views of courtyard landscape and surrounding residential area.
